Squares Rug
I used yarn made with alpaca seconds (basically the coarse fibers too rough to use for garments) to make this beautiful rug. You may use bulky or chunky yarn instead. The rug consists of 35 garter stitch squares and a garter stitch border. Fabulous!
Gauge Not critical to this project.
Yarn Any inexpensive #5 bulky yarn if you want to use it as a blanket/throw, or any inexpensive #6 super bulky yarn if you want to use it as a rug, in colors white, black and red (yarn amounts will vary per color depending on your project and type of yarn, but you will need approximately 1 unit of white, half of that in black and a 1/10 of red).
US size 11 (8.0 mm) for #5 bulky or size 13-19 (9.0-15 mm) for #6 super bulky 32î long and a second needle the same size the longest to can get or use three circular needles
