Eclectic Scarf

This scarf is a lot of fun to crochet and wear. It is one of the most simple pieces you will ever crochet. It consists of a tube made with chains and triple crochet and then shells are crochet every other triple column. To create the twisted effect, a silk scarf has been passed through the tube.

Gauge is not critical to this project.

Yarn Helen Hamann ELATION, 85% Pima Cotton/15% Baby Alpaca, #3 DK weight, 50 grs/1.75 oz skeins, 140 yds/128 ms, worked in 1 strand only – sample has been worked in 1 skein of marine blue #4 for base and 1 skein each for color accents in mandarin orange #3, cranberry cocktail #9, salsa red #5 and peppermint green #19. ELATION may be substituted with LUXURY, 100% Superfine Alpaca, #2 Sport weight, 50 grs/184 yds (168m), 2 strands of yarn held together throughout – sample has been worked in 1 skein of black SFN50 for base and 1 skein each for color accents in pumpkin 2250, symphony blue 4921, blushing red 6085 and Mediterranean olive A884.

Crochet hook size US F/5 (3.75 mm).
