The pattern stitch of this piece is simply fantastic! and the construction is so easy -- it is just a rectangle sewn at the shoulders to create a vest.
Gauge 22 sts and 32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch.
Yarn Helen Hamann ELATION, 85% Pima Cotton/15% Baby Alpaca, 50 g skein, 140 yds/128 m, #2 DK weight -- 13 skeins -- 1,820 yards (1,664 meters) in the color of your choice. Sample has been knitted in #5 salsa red.
Needle size US 6 (4 mm).
